Duration: 3 Nights

Accommodation: Luxury Chalet in the heart of Morzine

Location: Morzine Avoriaz, The French Alps

Airport Pick Up Location: Geneva (airport transfers included)

Catering: Breakfast and evening meals included. Runners will be expected to get their own lunch out on the trails, but we will make necessary lunch stops.

Your Trail Running Adventure: Experience the French Alps at their absolute best, by joining us for a trail running weekend in Morzine-Avoriaz. Our luxury chalet base will be in the heart of Morzine and we will explore the local mountains, with experienced run guides and expert coaches. During the weekend you will get to explore the amazing trails in the area, reach some incredible peaks and learn lots more about trail running. Our aim is to teach you the skills and techniques necessary, so you can confidently take on the trails yourself, all whilst surrounding yourself with positive like-minded trail runners.

Difficulty Grading: Advanced (Grade 3)

Designed for experienced trail or road runners, who can run a half marathon without having to walk or stop at any point. This camp covers an average of 20- 25km (12.4 – 15.6 miles) per day, with occasional longer days of up to 30km (18.7 miles). Expect varied mountain terrain, including long ascents and descents, technical sections with rocky, narrow paths, and the possibility of loose scree or snow at higher elevations.

Routes reach altitudes of up to 2700m (8856ft), and you’ll be on the move for up 5-6 hours daily, all at high-altitude. This is a challenging yet rewarding adventure for those ready to take their trail running to the next level.

Camp Schedule

Day 1 - Friday

Arrival & Transfer

Arrive at Geneva Airport and enjoy a seamless shared transfer with our trusted partners, taking you directly to the chalet for a stress-free start to your adventure.

Social Run & Trail Exploration

Settle in and join an optional group social run, exploring the breathtaking trails that wind through the valley floor in the heart of Morzine. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow guests, share running experiences, and soak in the stunning surroundings.

Welcome Dinner & Team Introductions

Afterward, relax and get to know the team and your fellow trail runners over a delicious meal at a local restaurant, setting the stage for an unforgettable adventure.

Day 2 - Saturday

Morning Trail Running Workshop
Start your day with an immersive trail running workshop led by expert coaches. Designed for all levels, this session focuses on refining technique & building confidence.

Skills & Technique Work
Develop essential trail running skills, from efficient uphill and downhill techniques to mastering technical terrain.

Lunch in the Mountains
Take a break to purchase and enjoy your own lunch in a breathtaking mountain setting.

Navigation & Route Planning
Learn key navigation and route-planning skills to explore the trails with confidence. This session will help you understand maps, GPS tools, and safe route choices.

Evening Meal, Rest & Relaxation

In the evening, unwind with a delicious meal featuring great food and local flavors, then relax in the comfort of our luxury chalet. Soothe tired muscles with the option to enjoy the hot tub or sauna.

Day 3 - Sunday

Adventurous Long Trail Run
Embark on an unforgettable long run through breathtaking alpine landscapes. This adventure will challenge and inspire, taking you deep into the mountains on stunning trails.

Lunch Out in the Mountains
Pause to refuel with a well-earned lunch at a scenic mountain spot.

Skills & Technique Practice
Refine your trail running skills with hands-on coaching. Focus on key techniques such as efficient climbing, confident descents, and tackling technical terrain.

Chasing Views and Vert
Push your limits as you chase epic mountain views, whilst racking up some serious elevation.

Dinner & Social Time in Morzine
After an exhilarating day, relax and unwind with a delicious dinner in Morzine. Enjoy great food, share stories with fellow runners, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of this beautiful alpine town.

Day 4 - Monday

Breakfast & Final Farewells
Start the day with a relaxed breakfast, reflecting on an unforgettable weekend in the mountains. Take time to share your favorite moments with fellow runners before saying your goodbyes.

Transfer Back to Geneva Airport
Enjoy a smooth and hassle-free transfer back to Geneva Airport with our trusted partners, ensuring a comfortable journey home.

Gain the skills and confidence to tackle downhill trails with ease! Your Coaching Team

Lewis Moses

Lewis is a former international athlete and the founder of New Levels Coaching. In 2012, he won the British Indoor 1500m title and represented Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.

After graduating from Loughborough University with a BSc in Applied Sport Science, Lewis became a qualified UK Athletics coach. He founded New Levels Coaching to inspire runners of all abilities to reach their potential. He coaches athletes across all domains—track, road, and trail—more recently focusing on ultra-trail runners. His coaching has led athletes to Great Britain representation and multiple podium finishes in the UTMB World Series.

In addition to his coaching endeavors, Lewis co-founded Runner Retreats, offering running experiences in inspirational locations around the UK & Europe.

Gemma Hillier-Moses

Gemma  is an England international athlete and co-founder of New Levels Coaching and Runner Retreats. She holds a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science from Loughborough University and has over a decade of experience coaching athletes of all abilities. Her qualifications include UK Athletics coaching certification, Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 4 Cancer Rehabilitation Specialist, exercise referral specialist, and clinical Pilates instructor.

In recent years, Gemma has shifted her focus towards trail and ultra running. Notably, she secured first place female in the Ladybower Reservoir 50K Ultra 2024, finishing second overall.

Additionally, in January 2025, she achieved a second-place finish in the ARC 25 race, part of the Arc of Attrition by UTMB series. These accomplishments highlight her successful transition into trail running and her continued excellence in the sport.

She now supports ultra-trail runners on their own adventures helping them fo fufill their own potential.

Kirsty Hillier

 

Kirsty Hillier is a qualified Athletics Coach and Level 3 Triathlon Coach with a background in triathlon and endurance running. She has been coaching since 2003, developing her skills through various avenues, including club coaching, age group coaching, and her role with the British Triathlon’s Paratriathlon Performance squad.

In addition to her coaching roles, Kirsty is an accomplished athlete, having completed numerous endurance events worldwide. Her achievements include the London Marathon, the Outlaw Long Distance Triathlon, qualifying for multiple Age Group Triathlon World Championships and age group podiums in a number of trail events.

Kirsty also serves as the Operations Manager for Runner Retreats, overseeing operations, logistics, and ensuring the seamless execution of all events.
